Being the first time a Chilean brand sponsors the competition, Viña Maipo celebrated its participation in the ATP World Tour Tokyo, held between October 3 and 9.

Inviting its top 20 clients from different markets in Asia, the company celebrated its participation in the Rakuten Japan Open (ATP World Tour Tokyo) with the Viña Maipo 5 Stars Experience, a weekend of activities that sought to surprise and delight guests in the context of this famous international tennis tournament.

Some of the most important activities were the opening dinner, tours of the Japanese capital, invitations to see the semifinals and finals at the Ariake Colosseum, and a closing dinner.

The inaugural dinner, held on Friday, October 7, at the prestigious restaurant Tofuya Ukaitei (1 Michelin star), was attended by the Ambassador of Chile in Japan, Patricio Torres, and the winery’s president Alfonso Larraín, who addressed the audience, thanking the great effort and drive of Viña Maipo’s sales team in the continent and in Japan in particular.

“Since 2000, Viña Maipo has carried out a major development plan, positioning itself among the leading exporters of Chilean wine. Undoubtedly, this is a crucial step in our expansion strategy, partnering with a brand with which we share not only a long history, but also fundamental values ​​such as effort, tenacity and consistency,” said Viña Maipo’s Marketing Manager Felipe Rossel during the event.

Renowned tennis players participated in the Asian version of the ATP World Tour this year, such as Japanese Kei Nishikori (number 5 in the ATP ranking), French Gael Monfils (number 7), Croatian Marin Cilic (number 11), Belgian David Goffin (number 12) and Australian Nick Kyrgios (number 14).

With permanent presence on the court, on the screens at the stadium and on the various media outlets of the tournament, the winery closed its extraordinary participation in this sporting event by giving 300 bottles of its Vitral Reserva line o the winner the tournament, Nick Kyrgios.
