Between September 5 and 9, with winemaker Max Weinlaub as brand ambassador, Viña Maipo visited different Chinese cities such as Dalian, Shenyang, Chongqing and Beijing. With all its product portfolio –Dulzino, Vitral, Gran Devoción, Limited Edition, Protegido and icon wine Alto Tajamar-, the winery showed its enological versatility and consistency in a market of great importance for the industry.
Dinners, tastings, meetings with media and trainings for the winery’s sales force were some of the activities led by the winemaker in the Asian country. He also tried various typical local products, such as Bai Jiu, famous Chinese white liquor, and various hot pots.
“It was a fascinating experience traveling around China and having the possibility to talk to people and get a closer look of such an interesting culture. I am confident that, with our wines, we showed the Chinese public the great potential of Chile and its various origins to produce top quality wines”, said Max on his return to the country.
